ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Aliyah Powell

Aliyah Powell is a compassionate visionary leader, known for her remarkable ability to inspire, empower, and innovate while achieving tangible outcomes. She has a unique talent for uniting diverse teams, identifying individual strengths, while leading with empathy and resilience.

Born and raised in Louisville, KY, Aliyah’s passion for process improvement began at her first job. While still in high school, she worked as an Assistant Store Manager with limited staff. This role forced her to create and implement efficient processes and systems to ensure tasks were completed successfully despite the constraints. This experience sparked her interest in optimizing operations and fostering efficient teamwork—principles she has carried into every aspect of her career.

Aliyah holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Louisville. She is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified and holds a SHRM Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential. With years of industry experience, Aliyah specializes in change management, process improvement, and team engagement. Across her roles in HR and engineering, she has driven impactful changes through strategic planning, collaboration, and innovation. Guided by her motto, “Optimize today for a better tomorrow,” Aliyah focuses on creating sustainable improvements that benefit both employees and organizations.

Her passion for helping organizations improve comes from her experience in roles, where she observed firsthand how inefficient processes and resistance to change hindered growth. Aliyah’s commitment to innovation, coupled with her ability to foster collaboration and open communication, led her to establish The Process Plug as a resource for businesses seeking to thrive in a dynamic and ever-evolving market.
